Corey Fogel

Corey Marc Fogel (b. 1977) is a drummer and performance artist currently living in Los Angeles, CA. Corey performs and composes in many rock, jazz, noise, folk, and chamber music capacities. His solo work is based around improvisational encounters with sounds, objects, personalities, textiles, foods, spanning the disciplines of performance art, video, dance, and installation. Corey earned his Bachelors of Music in Jazz Performance and Percussion from Arizona State University in 2001, and his Master of Fine Arts in Integrated Media from The California Institute of the Arts in 2004. He has studied, recorded and performed with such artists as Tony Malaby, John Jesurun, Willie Winant, George Lewis, Mark Dresser, John Russell, Dominique Leone, Jacob Koller, and bands Gowns, Cryptacize, Missincinatti, Learning Music, The Mae Shi, Barbez, and The Mountain Goats. In addition to many national and international tours, Corey has presented work at Machine Project, LACMA, Sea & Space Explorations, UCSD, and REDCAT.
